2. Hosting and Content Delivery Network

This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and delivered via the Cloudflare CDN. The provider is Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA.

When you visit this website, technical information is automatically stored in server log files that your browser transmits (e.g., browser type, operating system, referrer URL, time of the request, IP address). The IP address is anonymized by Cloudflare.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure and efficient provision of the website). Cloudflare typically stores server log files for 72 hours. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. A Data Processing Addendum (DPA) pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Cloudflare.

More information: Cloudflare Privacy Policy

3. Cookies

This website does not use cookies for tracking or marketing purposes. Cloudflare may set technically necessary cookies (e.g., __cf_bm) that are required for the security and operation of the CDN. If you confirm yourself as an existing client on the booking page, this website itself sets a technically necessary cookie (kunde_sitzung, 6 months, see section 6).

The legal basis is Section 25(2) TDDDG in conjunction with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest).

4. Google Maps

A Google Maps map is embedded in the footer of this website. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The map is only loaded when you actively click on "Load map" (two-click solution). When the map is loaded, your IP address is transmitted to Google.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent). By clicking "Load map," you consent to the data transfer to Google. You can revoke your consent at any time by using the page without clicking on the map. Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

5. YouTube

Some pages of this website embed videos from YouTube. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The embedding uses the enhanced privacy mode via the domain youtube-nocookie.com.

The videos are not loaded automatically. Instead, you first see a preview image. Only when you actively click the play button (two-click solution) is a connection to YouTube/Google servers established. Your IP address is then transmitted to Google. Google may set cookies and collect usage data.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent). By clicking the play button, you consent to the data transfer to Google. You can revoke your consent at any time by not playing the video or reloading the page. Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

6. Contact

If you contact me by email or phone, your information (name, email address, message) will be stored and processed to handle your inquiry. I will not share this data without your consent.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in processing inquiries). The data will be deleted when the purpose no longer applies or you request deletion, provided no statutory retention periods apply.

Appointment booking, calls, chat and contact form. When you book an appointment, start a call, use the chat or send a message through this website (the booking page or the contact form), I process the information you enter (name, email address, website, optionally company and phone number, email addresses of invited guests, your message and your answers to my questions) to handle your inquiry and hold the appointment. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures and performance of a contract).

Processing takes place on my own server at Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany. For appointments I use Google Calendar (Google Ireland Ltd.), which only stores the time and name. Confirmations and reminders are sent via the email service Resend. Calls take place in the browser via my own server.

Existing clients. If you confirm yourself as an existing client via the link in my email, this website stores a cookie with a random identifier for 6 months so that you do not have to enter your details again. You can sign out at any time via “Abmelden” (sign out) on the booking page, which deletes the cookie.

To improve my services, I record anonymously which questions were answered on the booking page, without cookies and without reference to your person, until you submit an inquiry. I store your information as long as it is needed to handle your inquiry and to meet statutory retention obligations.

7. Newsletter, Template Pack and Emails via Brevo

For my newsletter and my free template pack, I use the service Brevo for signups and for sending emails. The provider is Sendinblue SAS (Brevo), 106 boulevard Haussmann, 75008 Paris, France. The data is processed in the EU. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Brevo.

Brevo processes your email address, the time of signup and confirmation, and your IP address. Signup uses a double opt-in: you receive an email with a confirmation link, and only then are you added to the list.

Newsletter: The signup form on this website (the “Newsletter” page and the footer of every page) is my own form. No connection to Brevo is made when the page loads. Only when you click “Subscribe” does my server send your email address to Brevo. Brevo then sends you an email with a confirmation link (double opt-in). You are only added to the newsletter list after you click that link. If you do not confirm, you will not receive the newsletter. The newsletter contains new blog articles and practical tips on SEO, Google Ads and GEO.

Template pack: The form only loads after you actively click “Load form” (two-click solution). Only then is a connection to Brevo’s servers established. After signing up, you receive the link to the template pack and, a few days later, a short follow-up email. Through that form you only receive the newsletter if you tick the separate box for it.

Brevo may measure whether emails are opened and which links are clicked.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent) and Section 25(1) TDDDG. You can withdraw your consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in every email or by contacting me. Your data will be deleted as soon as you unsubscribe.
